Froch is English, but, according to the ever-reliable English press, his father is a Polish Jew. Great!
Wrong. While Froch's father is, in fact, Polish, he is rather far from being a Jew. He is a Polish German. In fact, his father's father had no choice but to be conscripted during World War II, to fight for the... Nazis.
Oh well. As we said, we weren't exactly searching for boxing champs. We just need to remember to be careful when referring to that ever-reliable English press...
