So let's not take anything away from the surprisingly Jewish Danielle Steel. Over 100 novels is not exactly chump change, regardless of their quality. Her loyal army of followers have dragged Danielle to the top year after year. By some accounts, she is the best-selling American author of all time. Take that, Stephen King.
