When we found out that NHLer (currently with the LA Kings) Nate Thompson is converting to Judaism for his fiance, we thought: terrific! Yet another Jewish hockey player to add to our ever-growing roster!

As it turns out, Thompson is quite a player (and we don't mean hockey), with a specific taste for... reality TV stars?

If you ever watch HGTV, you must know about its recurring nightmare of home remodeling shows, such as "Flip or Flop". On that particular program, a husband-and-wife team flip (or flop?) houses. It's as exciting as it sounds! Well, Nate dated the wife (Christina El Moussa, to give her full name, which is about as goyishe as it gets), after her TV marriage FLOPPED. She is obviouly not the one he is converting to Judaism for.

If you ever watch Bravo, you must know about its recurring nightmare of shows centered around Bethenny Frankel, which we promise we've never seen a second of. (We did catch her as a guest on "Shark Tank", when the other sharks try their best to hide their disgust.) Well, Bethenny and Nate dated, but even though she is Jewish, he is not converting for her.

No, after running around with reality stars, Nate came back to his old girlfriend, Sydney Kaplan (now that's a Jewish name!), and soon wedding bells and a conversion followed.

We had no idea that profiling a journeyman hockey player would turn our website into tabloid hell, and yet, here we are...

    Verdict: Jew.
