It's hard to write about Peter Tomarken. Sure, we can play up the camp value of his 80s game show, "Press Your Luck" (Big Bucks! No Whammies!). Truly, a classic for the ages! Not.

Honestly, without that show, there's very little to go on. According to his Wikipedia article, Tomarken worked for "Women's Wear Daily" (insert your joke here) and co-anchored a news show on Playboy TV (insert your joke here). No, without "Press Your Luck", there is not much there.

That is, until earlier this year, Tomarken volunteered to carry a passenger to a medical center in his airplane. Sadly, he perished in the ensuing crash. So make fun of his career or not, Tomarken was a mensch, and we're glad to have him on our team.

That said, it's hard to give a higher rating to a cheesy game show host...
