It's time for another installment of our "Ask Jew or Not Jew" feature, where young readers write in for advice. Here's a letter we recently received.
Dear Jew or Not Jew, I am very very very short... but I really want to be an actor. Should I just give up? — Schlomo Nagelberg, 16, Brooklyn, New York
Dear Schlomo,
Being short is not the end of the world. Take a look of Danny Strong, a character actor who's been in everything ("Mad Men", "Justfied", "Billions"...), and he is only 5'2"! Hollywood will always need short Jewy types (Danny on "Mad Men"), short swarmy types (Danny on "Justified"), or short Jewy swarmy types (Danny on "Billions")...
So don't let your height discourage you. Let the incredibly low chances to succeed discourage you.
Yours in short stature,
Jew or Not Jew.
P.S. In case you're not discouraged, you might want to change that name...
