The 2022 US gubernatorial elections saw an unprecedented wave of Jewish Joshes. That will be Josh Green, who was elected the Governor of Hawaii, and Josh Shapiro, who will be the new Governor of Pennsylvania, defeating a heinous antisemite in the process.

Green is now the second ever Jew to govern Hawaii, joining the Christmas-hating Linda Lingle, while Shapiro is the third Jew to be in charge of Pennsylvania. And if you are wondering if any other state had more Jewish governors than Pennsylvania, then we were too!

As you can see from the map above, Pennsylvania is now tied for most Jewish governors all-time. That tie is with Illinois, which also currently has a Jewish governor, J. B. Pritzker.

Who is a Jay, not a Josh. Darn it.
