Still, we often get searches for various Nazis. Himmler, Eichmann, Goering, Goebbels, Hess, Bormann, you name it. None of them were remotely Jewish; for some reason, people seem to need confirmation.
But Erhard Milch, who oversaw the Luftwaffe — Nazi Germany's air force — was. He was a son of a Jewish pharmacist.
Now, the Nazis had to reconcile that, of course. So they got Milch's mother to sign an affidavit that his father wasn't really his father. A bit ridiculous, obviously, but as far as the Nazis go, not exactly at the top of the insane list.
So, fine, this is how the Nazis reconciled it.
