Have you noticed that Tom Hanks has been popping up in a lot of strange roles lately?
Sure, he still plays that loveable everyman in a blockbuster here and there, but many of his recent turns have been smaller. For example, the fourth lead in TV's "Fargo". Some role on "Dexter". Jack Black's assistant in "King Kong". Jack Black's younger(???) brother in "Orange County"?
Right. That's not Tom Hanks at all. Oh, he looks just like him, but that's son Colin.
Despite the nearly identical looks, there is a small difference between the two: while Tom is all goyishe, Colin does have a spec of Jewishness, coming through his mother.
One thing for sure — in case they ever want to make a sequel to "Big", where a 60-something Josh Baskin wants to go back to his 30s, they won't have any trouble with casting...
