Not true, says the nitpicking reader. What about (insert German rock band some might have heard of)? And you forgot (insert another one)! Come on, Jew or Not Jew!

Alright, we'll give you Kraftwerk. That one rings a bell, doesn't it? No? Perhaps it's for the best...

Kraftwerk: quite possibly, the world's first ever electronic music band. Started in 1969 by Ralph Hutter and Florian Schneider (Surprise! Half Jewish!), it was a pioneer in the genre. Clearly, Kraftwerk agreed with the premise that Germans don't do rock music... so they made technology do the rock music for them. There's even a name for it: krautrock.

So, if you are even in a German nightclub, and wonder what the hell is that all about, you know who to thank.
