Who is Martin Shkreli? A despicable, detestable CEO, who is currently awaiting trial for running a Ponzi scheme. Shkerli's recent "claim to fame" was acquiring the rights to HIV-fighting drug Daraprim, and raising the price from $13.50 to $750 per tablet.
(Compare both of those numbers to the drug's price in other countries, which is the equivalent of 66 American cents in the UK, 18 cents in Australia, and 2 cents in Brazil. But that's a completely separate discussion...)
